"We probably were completing 10-15 (employee) verifications a month," Becky Withstandley, SVP Total Rewards Manager at Seacoast Bank, explained. "It's not hugely time consuming, but you are taking yourself away from something that you were working on to handle this request and then getting your head back into where you were before can take some time."
She continued "We didn't put this responsibility on one person. There was a group of us that were responsible for responding to verification requests and whoever had the ability to handle the request first would respond."
"VerificationManager took over this issue by freeing up our time so that nobody had to think about it again," Withstandley said.
Withstandley explained that while VerifictionManager as an idea was just what they needed, with their business they had to verify its potential.
"We have a robust third-party risk management group that was responsible for making sure that all risks were considered. After their vetting, I am comfortable that our bases are covered in that respect. No reservations." She added "We even contacted references and they all came back favorable."
